The plot in this game is basically ripped from Mass Effect. They took the plot from ME3, recycled it and this is what we have. The High Ones = Reapers, The Beacon = The Crucible, The Pyreans = Protheans, The Black Guardian = Leviathan. This is beyond taking inspiration from something or making references in your work, they are just reusing the plot from ME3. So can we say that Enderal should get credit for that? I don't think so because someone else already wrote this plot. The setting, the characters are to SureAI's credit. If I wrote a fan-fiction retelling the story of a movie but I slot in a few original characters do I get credit for that story? The whole experience is so heavily scripted and restrictive in terms of player agency and choice that I fail to see this as an RPG. One example that sticks out in my mind is confronting that kid's father while hunting for the black stones. You can't kill him. Even if you try to go back after the quest you can't kill him. Where is my dialogue option to tell him what a piece of shit he is? Why do I have to just stand there and put up with his arrogant boasting? Another example. Everyone else is going through some mental crisis at one point or another. I have to listen to everyone else's problems. What if I am not okay? What if I am going through some shit too? I can't just express that because Enderal won't let me role play a character. Is this better than anything in vanilla Skyrim? Yes, by far. Then again that is not a high bar. I think calling this a masterpiece is giving it praise that it doesn't deserve. It does a lot of things right for sure. Is also has several issues.

What’s the recommended level?

Very late to this playthrough but the complaints about all the gates bothers me as this is literally a world invasion. The enemy has had a very long time to build up forces for the invasion. It's like complaining about all the spacecraft in an alien invasion game.

Okay, you actually got the Mage to acknowledge all three books, it never did that for me because I had to console my way into the last red room to get the Tome. Yeah, there's plenty of potential and more than just a loot grab quest mod. I know it is a W I P mod, I caught that at the start before I downloaded it, just to maybe help the author playtest it. That's also why I made a lengthy post about it on the mod page, to tell the author what I had discovered after several hours of playtime.

Having watched all 5 parts, it feels like liberating Braedwyth should be the midpoint of the Questline. I was expecting that whilst freeing the village Ja'zirr would have been attacked and the tomes taken with the second half of the questline pushing the orcs back and discovering the location of their main base (on the third isle). This all leading to a final showdown with their lord/master and driving them from the Isles completely. But nope.....just feels half finished.

Crypt here, I super appreciate your playthrough on my mod, but I do want to say if you run into any brick wall barriers on making your final video let me know, I can address any scripting issues you run across and although I've done my darnest to make the mod run well on its own here's still seems to be certain case scenarios where stuff breaks

Also to add onto this for perspective on difficulty, this mod was originally intended for high level characters but I also tried to build it to be somewhat low-level friendly, I'll admit that AI balancing is something I find extremely difficult even after my experience with SOTS FO4 which was generally focused on harder, higher level difficulties. I feel like it's more of an art than a science, and I still work to try to balance low lvl vs high lvl and it's very conditional.

Crypt here, I'm very thankful that you would check out my mod, it took about 5 years to build it to this current state. There is so much involved in mod creation on this scale, I'm still hoping to flesh out additional areas that can be found on the map but it's basically a second time job. I'm extremely happy with our voice actors and also the level design built into this mod, I spent countless hours trying to learn how to build a full storyline in terms of quest/storyline scripting and to be hones this is the most developed I could put this entire package together. I hope to improve the mod in the future, there is a full second segment of the mod that was written but i don't know if i'll ever be able to develop it. The general idea is that you spend Part 1 retrieving the Bloodlight Tomes and the second part would take you to the "homeland" of the Ognok Clan, where you find out tons more lore about them being the original mages who used Bloodlight Magic and are seeking to return the tomes to themselves. There's also rooom in such a storyline that you side with the orcs and use the bloodlight magic to conquer the Salt-Fangs, but this would delve into an immense amount of scripting that unfortunately I don't think will ever happen.

Great mod, voice acting was surprisingly good as far as Skyrim mods go and the story was a blast. As far as I’m aware it’s perfectly playable with most combat overhauls, and it was just the author wanting people to play as he wants them to.

Are there not followers in Daggerfall? It's much more fun to be dragging along some hapless NPC or two and a dog on your wacky adventures.

This could be an official quest dlc from the quality alone, from the voice acting to the surprisingly perfectly-fitting new weapon (the crab claw is very classic fallout in design).

Just wanted to say, while I uploaded the mod - I was definitely not the sole creator! Took over a dozen people working all weekend to make this happen.

Strongly disagree about this being it's own game. It uses Skyrim's engine. It uses Skyrim's assets. You can't play the game without owning a copy of Skyrim. It is dependent on Skyrim to be what it is. It can not exist without Skyrim. If this were a situation like the Forgotten City, where it was successful enough that it became it's own game completely independent of Skyrim, then it would qualify. As it is now, Enderal is not it's own game.

Oooh I'd like to see more Fallout 4 quest mods, companion mods etc. Compared to Skyrim the gap is massive. I always wondered why. Is it harder to mod? If anyone knows I'm super curious. I always wondered why the Fallout Modding community is less robust.
